one two five art school

art classes and workshops for all ages and abilities

Gary and Carole run workshops for teachers, companies and corporate clients to facilitate creative development in settings such as schools, universities, businesses, hospitals and community groups. These sessions enable participants to develop new skills, which will enhance their practice and promote confidence, communication and creativity.
We can also offer inspirational and practical consultancy on project ideas, development and the installation of low cost facilities for screen-printing and clay work in a variety of settings.

'The Clay Narratives Project provides a model of highly effective partnership and collaboration between artist and educationalist. Opportunities for Early Years practitioners to work directly alongside an artist to acquire the skills of a new craft is both enjoyable, empowering and impacting positively on outcomes for children’s learning.
Within this partnership, Gary Wood has drawn on his experience of working with young people in educational settings to plan imaginatively structured, inclusive workshop sessions. His sensitivity and understanding of how young children communicate through clay has generated rich professional dialogue and the exploration of new pedagogical ideas.'

'Carole Waller is an invaluable member of the teaching team at Bath Spa University.
She has a real passion for her subject and is truly inspirational in her approach to teaching students at all levels.
There is always amazing energy and focus during her textile workshops, and she has a huge amount of expertise with materials and techniques.
Carole is also very organised and really gets the most out of the students - she is very good with colour and in helping students to develop their ideas from sketches through to finished pieces of work.'
